Five years ago, a new plastic surgery practice and dermatologic spa opened its doors. Ward MD Facial Plastic Surgery and Form Derm Spa were born! We knew at the time that our vision called for something different—something that we felt was needed.

Five years later, as we prepare to celebrate our biggest Anniversary Event ever on Wednesday, October 13th (check out the details at https://www.wardinstitute.com), I am better able to articulate that vision. Our vision is that plastic surgery and spa services are about much more than appearances. As the name of the spa suggests, they are actually about our “Form.”

Our “Form” refers to our identity. The work we do at the Ward Institute aims to help you live your true identity and to better achieve the best version of yourself. The services that we provide are only a small part of the effort our clients invest in their quest to live the life they want to live. We help provide the rungs on the ladder that help you on your journey to looking your best, feeling your best, and BEING your best version of you.

As a facial plastic surgeon and as the medical director and founder of Form Derm Spas, my aesthetic sense and belief are that the most beautiful part of a person is that person’s own individual identity. Our aim is not to change or transform the way people look. Our job is to enhance that person’s own individual beauty. This is embodied in our motto, which is “Improving Lives by Inspiring Confidence.”

We aim to achieve this goal in each and every patient encounter. As imperfect humans, we understand that we will never completely achieve it, but our commitment is to continuously strive to achieve it in the best possible way. Over the past five years as the leader of our organization, I have made more mistakes than I can mention. Some of these are simple and humorous, whereas others are serious and painful. Despite the pain we have experienced along the way, I am happy to say that I have learned from these experiences and have even come to appreciate them for the lessons they have taught me.

Within our organization, we have two unwritten rules for our team members. The first is to always try. The second is to always forgive. We have worked diligently and very hard to create a culture that promotes these ideals for our clients and amongst our team members. Working with our team is a privilege and I am so proud of all their hard work, dedication, patience, and love.
