Dr. Ersilia Anghel was born in Romania, grew up in Toronto, Ontario and later moved to Tucson, Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate studies with Honors in Biochemistry and Art History. Soon after, she earned her Medical Degree at The University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Throughout her medical training, Dr. Anghel has distinguished herself by working closely with the top facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons around the world. She worked with Dr. Fredrick Menick during her medical training and later Dr. Tom Wang during her residency training. In addition, she completed an extramural rotation at University of Washington in Facial Plastic Surgery.
As a result of many years of dedicated research at University of Manchester in England, University of Washington, and Stanford University, Dr. Anghel is well-published in the science of wound healing and plastic surgery. In 2016, she completed a yearlong Wound Healing and Limb Reconstruction Research Fellowship at Georgetown University and then began her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Anghel is a compassionate board eligible plastic surgeon who strives to heal her patients wholly and guide them through their surgical transformations. She is thrilled to be continuing her training as a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellow under the distinguished surgeon Dr. P. Daniel Ward in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Anghel’s pastimes include quality time with her family, along with travel, yoga, hiking and snowboarding.
