Otoplasty is an easy and non-invasive procedure that can be performed on a variety of patients who qualify. The ears can be an intricate structure of folds and shapes, and children’s ears are not fully grown until they’re four years old, but a self-conscious child can still receive this safe procedure any time after that.

Also known as ear pinning, otoplasty usually only takes about an hour, though each procedure will vary from patient to patient. Typically, an anesthesia will be administered to alleviate pain, which children receiving specific instruction before surgery. Because stitches are involved, expect to keep your ears covered with bandages for a few days and with some throbbing that can be managed with medication.

If you don’t feel you need a full otoplasty but would still like to improve your ear lobes, don’t worry—we have you covered there as well. While it does vary from patient to patient, repairing the ear and lobe is a very straight forward one. It can be done under local anesthesia, though it’s not a necessity. It only takes about 30 minutes to reshape your ear lobe with results you can see immediately, perfect for when you’ve already spent so many days hiding them. Because of this easy process, downtime is minimal if there’s any at all.
