If you have already put all of your sandals away and switched them out for booties, then you are gearing up for fall. If, however, you’re like the rest of us, you may not be quite ready to kiss the warm temperatures goodbye because before we know it, snow is just around the corner. But because cold weather is going to come whether we are ready or not, you’ve got to get your mind, body, and skin prepared for colder temperatures.
Because our skin has a hard time adapting during season changes, we have created a list of a few ways that you can transition your skin from summer to fall.
You may be able to get away with using the same cleaner that you used in the summer, but when it comes to your moisturizer, you might not be quite as lucky. When you’re shopping around for a moisturizing cream, choose the one that’s thicker because they typically contain ingredients that will help lock in and seal the moisture in your skin which will help you combat the onset of dry skin.
If you have a few too many sunspots after a long summer spent in the sun, then you may want to invest in a chemical peel. Chemical peels target the outermost layers of the skin, which helps to get rid of a variety of things, including sunspots and hyperpigmentation that you may have gotten over the summer.
As we move into the fall, you may notice that the skin under your eyes is dry and dehydrated. Try investing in a moisturizing eye cream to apply both morning and night; this will help you get rid of all of that dryness.
