The Consultation

During your initial consultation with our team at Ward MD Facial Plastic Surgery, we will briefly examine your lips and then discuss what results you are hoping for. Once we have landed on a plan that you are happy with, we will then schedule your appointment.

The Appointment

On average, lip fillers take under 30 minutes per session, and only one session is required, although some patients get touch-ups. Typically we will numb your lips and then start injections. If you feel pain or discomfort at any time, let us know, and we will make the proper adjustments.

The Aftercare

Some patients experience a slight bit of bruising and swelling on their lips after injections— this is normal and should subside after just a day or two. To help calm down the swelling, you can apply a small soft ice pack to your lips for about 10 minutes at a time.
